“Excellent service, owners were so nice, delightful memories”

Grant & Beth greeted us with open arms upon our arrival, even though we were a couple hours late for evening check-in. They promptly showed us to our awesome room, the Sugar Pine Suite. The room had all the bells and whistles you could ask for: shower, bathtub, two sinks, bathrobes, TempurPedic bed and pillows, two balconies with a view, WiFi, TV with all the channels, coffee and weather report in the morning, breakfast was off the charts.

Beth & Grant are amazing in the kitchen! They whipped up the most delicious breakfast each day during our three day stay. I am truly shocked Beth was not an executive chef in her past life! After our awesome morning meal, Beth & Grant broke out the maps of Yosemite and filled our cup with plenty of guide knowledge and advice on which parts of the park to enjoy and when to do it. Honestly, the most perfect information sources you can ask for in Yosemite. They are experienced and truly care about what they do. Such a welcoming stay for us and not to mention you're a stone's throw away from the park entrance. The home/inn itself was very clean and comfortable. You can use their fridge for drinks (bring alcohol with you if you plan on drinking there). All together, one of the best and most memorable stays I have had anywhere in my life. Not a complaint in the world!

“Best in 40 years of Inn and B&B travel”

Incredible hospitality, food and accommodations. Beth and Grant were just super hosts, including being very helpful about hiking, local restaurants and insights. The rooms and decks with views made one want to just stay at the Inn and never leave--a perfect retreat while visiting Yosemite.

 “Thoroughly enjoyed our stay”

I don’t often write reviews, but simply had to comment on our fantastic stay at Little Ahwahnee Inn. Beth and Grant met us on our arrival and we were very quickly made to feel at home. Throughout our stay, they were wonderful hosts. From helping us to plan our time in Yosemite to ensuring that we came home to a wonderful log fire in the evening, they ensured that our stay was one of total relaxation and comfort. The accommodation was immaculate, spacious and full of character; and the bed so comfortable. As for the location, well that couldn’t have been better. Set on it's own in the woods, it was so very quiet. Just a few minutes from Yosemite south gate, and two or three highly recommended restaurants close by – we’d an excellent evening at the Narrow Gauge Inn for example.

Great hosts, a top notch B&B, and in a fantastic location. Highly recommended.

 “Perfect Visit”

Just want to say "Thank you" to Grant and Beth for their conscientious hospitality and their implicit knowledge of the Yosemite Park area. From the moment we booked our stay they sent us informative emails and instructions. Upon arrival the private, wooded setting is awesome! Grant and Beth were very personable and delightful to talk to. They each cooked a wonderful healthy breakfast each morning and gave us excellent suggestions as to where to go, what to do and how to get there so we could maximize our limited time at the Park. They made sure that every detail of our stay was comfortable in every way from the fine art and sculpture throughout the house to the Memory foam bed-- the deep- soaking tub in the Sugar Pine room ( a great soothing remedy after a day of hiking !) to the warm bathrobes. I woke up each morning thinking I was at "home" not in a hotel. They also knew the best restaurants for dinner and our favorite was the Narrow- Gauge Restaurant 2 miles away. Perhaps the only drawback is the driving distance to the Valley floor which is a little under.an hour altho' the B&B only 13 miles from the south entrance. But this small detail should not deter anyone from this really fine experience! We would definitely go back!

“Wonderful setting, wonderful hosts.”

We stayed with Grant and a Beth for 2 nights and arrived to snow which, in itself, was magical. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, our hosts could not have done more to make sure we were comfortable. Little Ahwahnee Inn is a beautiful place to stay, made even more appealing by Grant and Beth's welcoming personalities. We loved being there and would highly recommend you stay with them.

“Perfect Getaway”

My husband and I stayed at our first bed & breakfast. This place was absolutely amazing and Beth and Grant were the nicest people I have ever met. Their hospitality was outstanding. This was definitely a home away from home. The breakfast they served was the perfect breakfast as it covered ALL my favorites! I can't wait to return. Coffee delivery to our room was something to look forward to in the morning!! The BEST.

“Memories created and will always be cherish ”

The Little Ahwahnee couldn't of been a more perfect setting for my wife and I to spend our 1st anniversary together. Grant and Beth are amazing inn keepers and really took the extra step to make us really take in Yosemite. Beth has a very in depth knowledge of Yosemite and filled us with stories of past and present that had us glued to every word. You can definitely feel the love and respect she has for it from her. Grant really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and really felt more like a friend than an inn keeper. His delicious breakfast creations can simply be explained by "wow." The Inn itself was beautiful with majestic architecture, an amazing fireplace, a very comfortable bed and room, and a view that you can spends hours just staring out the many windows. It just so happens that they share the same wedding anniversary as we do so it couldn't of been more perfect. This being our first B&B experience, The Little Awahnee Inn set the bar high and will forever be our measuring stick of awesome B&B experiences. Can't wait to go back!!

 “The Best”

My husband and I were looking for a special place to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we certainly found it at Little Ahwahnee Inn. Beth and Grant made us so welcome. So many special touches and such attention to every detail for our comfort and enjoyment. The tea service and weather forecast delivered to the room each morning was so nice. On our last day a thoughtful forecast for our hometown was provided. Breakfast each morning was delicious, creatively and beautifully presented. The treat of a Tempurpedic mattress to sleep on after a full day of exploring hiking trails in the park was just great too. We appreciated the tips shared and the legends and lore we learned about the area from our hosts Yosemite is a must see and this is the best place to stay!

 “Tranquil retreat”

It's hard to comment on anything that hasn't been said before. Suffice to say Beth and Grant are passionate about what they do and it shines through in every aspect of their operation. The rooms are sympathetically designed to blend with the surroundings using locally sourced furnishings and are immaculately presented. Breakfasts are planned to use fresh produce and are as delicious as stated but the difference here to a hotel is that Beth and Grant's individual interest in you and their extensive knowledge ensures that you get the best of your time in Yosemite. We would have wasted time on a tour and not enjoyed the benefit of our own cycle adventure without their advice. Don't miss a walk to the top if Sentinel Dome, it's not too strenuous and the Glacier Point viewpoint. The Narrow Gauge is charming and I would highly recommend it for dinner, Tenaya Lodge is a bit of a transit camp and ok for a burger or drink only!

“Lovely Inn - fabulous hospitality”

It's hard to add to the things that have already been said about the Little Ahwahnee Inn so I will just endorse them wholeheartedly and say how much we enjoyed our recent stay. Lovely accommodation, delicious and out of the ordinary breakfasts and above all fabulous hosts. Beth and Grant could not have been more welcoming and helpful in ensuring that not only our stay in the Inn but every day we spent in Yosemite was as good as it possibly could be. My tip - stay for at least three nights as you will need more than one full day to enjoy it all.

 “Lovely Inn with Exceptional Hosts”

The Little Ahwahnee Inn is a perfect choice for your visit to Yosemite. The location can't be beat, only minutes to the southern entrance to the Park. The lodge is everything you'd hope for in terms of comfort and decor. Our gourmet breakfasts were deliciously prepared and served by our hosts who were genuinely interested in helping us make the most of our visit. Beth and Grant were wonderful in the way they provided us with directions, Yosemite hike recommendations, wonderful dinner suggestions and even great insights and advice for our subsequent trip to Napa Valley. We're looking forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Wonderful comfy mattresses in each of the rooms ensure a great nights rest.

 “In a word, Wow!”

The Little Ahwahnee Inn is one incredible place, and Beth and Grant have to be the most gracious hosts one could ever hope for. The Inn is in a great location; it's close to the south entrance to Yosemite, and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful too. Grant and Beth are not only excellent chefs, but indispensable resources for information on Yosemite. When we return to Yosemite, Little Ahwahnee will be the place we choose to stay.
